Notecards and Flickr

I’m blogging about the fascinating topic of notecards… We had a fun notecard-making workshop in the Loft last week. I uploaded the pictures from that to The Virtual Loft’s flickr account, and they’re included in the mosaic below. One thing that always comes up with me and Flickr is, “what tags should I choose?” So I created this mosaic, mostly because I was interested in seeing what tags other people used for notecards, how descriptive they were (“handmade notecards” narrowed it a bit and eliminated moo cards and the like). Should I include color descriptions, flowers, bees, etc? I always go back and forth like this about the tags when I’m posting pictures.

I have discovered that the art of card-making seems to be alive and well. Now I plan to sit down and actually write a note/letter on the card I made, and yes, send it by snail mail…

I also played around with Montagr (used “dog”), Mappr, and I really like Zoomr. I may use Zoomr some more. The trading cards are fun. Perhaps I’m dating myself, but I feel like I should wrap mine up with some bubble gum before I give them out…
